uninstalled injectors go bad?

hey guys,

In the process of putting things back together and firing up new motor. Question is my injectors have been in the fuel rail un installed for about 6 months while the motor was being built. Do they go bad if they just sit in open air like that? I don't want to blow my new motor during break in process. Stock 450cc injectors.

They shouldn't go bad just sitting around..But I guess you'll see if they fire when you get it back together..If they don't you can buy used ones for 60 shipped..

I have been around soooo many engine builds where their injectors sat on a shelf for months , some even year or two without any issues. Just make sure to monitor your air/fuel ratio if you got a wideband if your that worried but since you got stock injectors, im guessing your running stock ecu and sensors. You should have other things to worry about more than if the injectors are problematic. Just dont lean out too much while under boost but that also depends on how much boost with what turbo exc since you have 450cc's. Again, since your starting an engine again after a rebuild or built setup, you'll be running lighter boost levels for breaking in anyways probably.

Yea, I'll be breaking in the motor with stock fuel settings then upgrading.
