Undertaking a PlastiDip project soon.

Hey guys, I searched around with no luck. So here is my question, I'm looking to plasti dip my car since my factory clear is starting to peel. However, I want to attempt to mix my own color and I have never messed with color mixing before.

I was hoping there was someone here that has had some experience with color mixing that can help me get a start on getting to the color I want so I'm not wasting money on mixing and getting the colors wrong.

I don't know what it is but I have a fascination with the color of copper, and that's the color I would like to go for, of course I'm going to keep the color matte, and am undecided if I'm going to use the metalizer or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well here is video how to do it. I think plasti dip looks like crap its kinda like flat colors and looks cheap. I like a nice new clear glossy color with a nice clear coat. A good clear coat is the trick to making it last long and not peal.

DONT DO IT. Pain in the A$$ to get off if you ever want to.

^^ If you have good paint and throughly clean and detail the body first, as well as use a clay bar to clean the paint, you should have no problem getting it off. It comes off in smaller pieces if the coat is too thin. A pressure washer (as in pay car wash) gets it off without a problem.

For the price of the kit and extra paint you could have MAACO paint it for $150-200 more. Granted it wont be the best paint job but still equal to the plasti finish
