Ok, so I'm one week old in the dsm world and Im already having problems. My underdrive pulley came off while cruising down the interstate a 75mph. My car just died completely and now has no spark at all. I've looked at a lot of post but I can't really find anything for built 420a engines so please help if you can.

I have a new harmonic balancer on the way with new belts a d they will be going on tomorrow, but that's not going to give me spark....

Turning the engine by hand isn't necessarily a great way to test if valves are bent. Your pistons do sometimes bend them out of the way when they get punted at high speed.

Don't get an ebay timing belt kit unless you want to do it again. As far as the valves go, this guy's stuff is the real deal at a great price:

OEM is never a bad choice for the timing components, partsdinosaur.com has some great priced stuff if you don't want to spend 400$ on an all OEM kit, though. Good luck, and after this debacle you'll make sure to take your manual out to the car with you to tighten everything to specifications, right? ;)

Shit just realized you were N/T disregard links and info.

Well, yes I will be taking the manual out to the car to get the torque specs for everything but since I got the car a 2 weeks ago today then I really didn't know I needed to do that the day after I bought it. I have a dyno sheet that says 286.4 whp at 14psi and that is the low setting on my 2 stage boost controller with 20psi being the other, so I figured everything was torqued down right to begin with.

Since you are turbo'd I would go with a gates racing timing belt kit or oem only. Don't cheap out on your timing components. Honestly your in a tuff spot with what happened. Get the timing set right and do a leak down test that's the only thing I would do. Or just pull the head off. Pull the valve cover off first tho and see if your rockers are still in place. If they are knocked off then that's a definite sign you had piston to valve contact. For valve replacement I would go with ferra valves but that's my personal choice for a built motor. You can go oem but yet again don't cheap out and buy eBay parts unless you want to do things twice.
