undercarriage rusted...options?

The undercarriage of the shell i dumbly chose to drop my 6 bolt into is badly rusted. what are my options? Can i just have a body shop spray a coat of whatever black stuff they would use for this type of undercarriage application?

You can buy rubberized under coating for cars at your local auto parts store. Your gonna want to clean the rust off by hand the best you can so the coating will stick.
