First the X-fer case question. I recently did a oil pan gasket on my car. To do so i had to drop the exhaust and what i believe is the transfer case. When i did so there was no oil or gasket or anything. I was wondering is this normal or what i dont know if its a sealed thing or not.

Now the turbo oil drain leak. I know that my oem line is busted and i was looking at getting a -10an line to replace it, but on the extreme psi website they have a kit for 103 but if you piece it together its cheaper. so i was wondering if someone knew the fitting adapters i would need from that site. or a better way to go.

Thanks for all help

Most people just use RTV for the oil-pan seal. As for the oil drain, you can also snip out the flex section (that always leaks) and put a piece of oil/fuel line and clamp it on both ends. Mine has been leak free that way between two cars and 3 years.

I just used boat loads of RTV Grey and the Orange high temp since I ran out. Hasn't leaked since just make sure you clean the surfaces really well thats a huge part of it.

Thanks for the info on the turbo oil drain. i'll continue looking into it. and as for the x-fer case thing I saw the post saying its normal i just want to be clear that thats not sarcasim, correct?

My oil drain always leaked at the pan so if you are reinstalling I would suggest using the stock gasket with a thin film of RTV(I used Grey) bolt it up and then I did a caulk type bead around it and it has stayed leak free for the first time in 8 years. I also pieced mine together, the kit came with a straight fitting, a 45 degree fitting, and two threaded fittings(one for oil pan and one for turbo), Mine was pushlock and I had to heavily modify it to work with my HX-35. I ended up replacing the straight with a 45 degree fitting and even then I had to cut the first rib off the nipple of each 45 to make it fit. Obviously i have a different setup but it might help... at least I gave you a list of what is in the kit.

So everyone answered very well on the oil drain line. but the transfer case issure i'm still not sure on. i dont want to drive it and blow it up as i just stuck about 2k in it. So is there something i should do with the transfer case being that i dont know if there is any fluid in it??

There is no gasket between the xfer case and tranny. When u drop the transfer case, it will leak gear oil out of the rear output shaft when the driveshaft yoke is removed. If no oil is coming out of that, then you need to refill it. While it is down, you might look at the input and output seals to see if they are ok. Less than $14 total for both to replace yourself
