twin engine eagle talon wow

Neat.. But not me.. What kind of a hack-job had to be done to even mount the rear engine let alone the Drivetrain..

The rear assemblies on 1g's are.. A little bare, you could say.. I wouldn't trust the constant strain on the chassis itself..

Sure. :)

Just out of curiosity, how fast do you expect a 640whp car to be? And how much power do you think you could make with two 18g's?

And LOL!! Couldn't have said it better man.. I really hope no one thinks that 2 engines = twice as fast... Twice the initial G-force on your neck.... Maybe..

Just take out the front engine and have a rwd :hellyeah: :DROFLROFLROFL

you dont need to take out the front engine to just do that, hell you could do that to a stock GSX if done correctly, very similar to what rhys millen did to that red EVO 8 from that tokyo drift.

Somebody had a 2g twin engine for sale on ebay a year or two ago. I know there was a you tube video of it.
So? Who's buying it?

That car is insane! If I had the cash, I'd definitely snag it up.

I would like to know the down and dirty of the project.. How were motor mounts handled? How is draivtrain handled?? is it running 2 different drivetrains or is it "hacked" from the center-diff...

I read that it is two seperate auto transmissions, but it also sounds like he doesn't know to much of what he is talking about with the build..

Exactly! Imho i think that was just a waste of time and money. With all the costume fab work and the price of the second motor, tranny, ect he could have gotten one of the motors to that 640 hp mark. And way easier.

BUT....Would he have a dual engine talon?

It's not like you see these things getting groceries around town.

It's a one of a kind and deserves props for all the creativity and the hard work and dedication to complete a project of that scale.

The throttle cable is linked by a custom linkage via the old cruise control unit! It seems like the best idea! I'm not sure if its a DD but I would imagine not! Then normal sensors would just be from the front! And only necessary gauges would run to the rear! He has a full list for what's on the rear on the link! Clicky and take a look its fab and the detail is great!

As for the drive! I'd think they run like a fwd and rwd car! With NO linkage drive between the 2? That's the way I'd run it anyway

Same.. If the front drivetrain is seperate from the rear, I would be much more interested.

I don't understand how people can't get that this car was built to be something unique instead of the same old build everyone does.

It's like the first guy who did a LS-1 swap into the RX-7. It wasn't because it was going to be the cheapest route, but because he had one and wanted to make it fit for shits and giggles.

It's tough to want to own any car that has been so insanely modified.

If you personally did all the work, or knew the car through it's whole journey it would be a different ball game.

However, think of the headache your one 4g63 engine produces. You would think adding a second would only double this..But I'm sure the pain would magnify exponentially.

It is sick, but so is a submarine. Neither of which I'll be owning soon but I sure appreciate both.

Shit if I had the $$$ on hand to just blow on whatever, I would buy this thing in a heart beat.

A 300whp 4G63 is pretty darn reliable so long as it's maintained. That is the biggest advantage I see to this thing.

Sure. :)

I also would like to know what people expect this car to run? A 640whp car that mostly likely weighs around 3700lbs (or more). It seems to me like it's on par with most cars of this weight and power.

wow... just wow....
All those guys saying "yeah I have the twin turbo model" or asking me "is that the twin turbo model?",
I can no longer say there is no such thing....

Great price, really.. once could buy it and sell both engines for more than what was paid for the car..

but really, two engines in one car is just pointless added weight..

Nice car though, dont get me wrong

There are about 2 on here with twin setups and about 50 who claim to be "in the process".

You talking about HOT98GSX (i think thats right) He has a 2g with a compound setup. I think theres one other guy rocking a compound setup...There is two turbo's but it's not "TT". Compound is leaps and bound better. And I have never really heard of a TT setup performing well on 1 bank either.

now i saw this on ebay a few years ago. it ran pretty much the same times then. id so boost up both motors and make 500 or so out of each LOL

You could have some fun with this car at a quick lube station...

You: I'd like an oil change.
Service Tech: No problem, we have a special at $19.95.
You: Great. I'll take two of them.

HAHA.. thats great..

"And be sure not to spill any oil inside my car" LOL
