I am looking into turning my stock 1996 gs-t into a low 13 second car.
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what shops and places to go to that would instal it and tune it. Also i was wondering about how much money is it gunna cost me to have a new turbo intercooler bov ,vpc, and mbc instaled and tuned..

Also if anyone has any 13 second set ups they are looking to part out let me know.

i heard good things about beyond redline in Green Bay. I would recommend trying things yourself and learn while you save money. You can learn how to do a lot just by reading this site. also check out the 1000 FAQ if you haven't yet. 1000 FAQ

Well if low 13's is what you want take a look at my profile & those mods should get you there (that is if you can drive & tune). Your goal is harder to achieve in a fwd car because of the lack of traction. Being fwd suspension is critical, urthane motor mounts to help prevent wheel hop and a limited slip diferential will help out alot (or run slicks and take the chance of breaking other parts). I know from a roll I can pull on a 2000+ corvette, wrx sti etc. but I have yet to go to the track, next year :p

As for cost it will vary a great deal. Depending on the products you choose, if you go half assed or the properway etc. I would think you would be looking at min $3000 just for parts but if talking about rims, tires, suspension etc. that can easily double. I'm probably close to $10,000 for parts but I try not to keep track :shhh:

Some dude jsut imed me about selling me a whole t/3 setup for 1500 he said it will include everything to boldt it up with a front mount intercooler bov and all hard piping for fmic. All oil lines and everything Brand new free shipping ...sounds like a good start for me as well as a good deal as far as i think ...what do you guyz think?

you are gonna spend a lot of money if you dont know anything about your car and your gonna have someone else do everything. dsm's are notorious about tearing up. the first thing you need to do is check out the mod list on this website and others: machv.com, roadraceengineering, etc. start from there. you need to start with a mechanical boost guage and an intake, not a turbo. the turbo should be the last thing to think about at this point.

shoot me a pm. i might have some stuff i can help you out with.
good luck
