Ok earlier today i was woking on my eclipse doing a timing job then was gonna do the bse, then i had this random guy come up to me and ask if my car was for sell. I told him no my bro got it for me and I am fixing this minor little stuff to get it on the road. He goes well sorry for bugging but i wanted to offer you a 2000 limited edition r6 with 16k and clean title!!!!! I told him no way i would rather have my 2g gst then a bike. Okay now just for your guys thoughts would yall would of traded????? And take note this car will be my daily!

I have done it so yes I would have personally. Because let me tell you some thing I have been driving dsm's since I have been 16 I am 29 now you will soon enough be walking rain or shine LOL.... The R6 fast they always run if well maintained and they get traction LOL...

I never had a r6 before i drove zx9,10 but never a yamaha???!!! hmmmm and you make a good point walking rain or shine LOL!!!!!! 2012 yea yea bullcrap LOL!!! hmmm I dunno would you like to see a pic of the bike?!

yea true that is what i was thinking atm too!!! but from the outside it look CLEAN!!!

Both of my bikes have higher miles they run great its about how it was ridden and maintained. I have an R6 my suggestion is if you really like your car dont ride that bike because you will end up thinking hard LOL.

I trade bikes for cars all the time and vice versa some times you just want a change which could be why he offered.

I have a Ninja and an 01 R6 recently I have had Cbr's Gixxers etc. If it tells you any thing the 02 R6 I have is the only vehicle I have that will never go any where. If I want some thing else I will swap my ninja LOL.

Also I would be talking to him about cash on his end because I bought my 02 for 4k! It had 14 or 15k on the clock I dont recall.

Here is a pic of the bike. And are the 2000 to 2005 the same thing :? <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=2j0ms2b" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.tinypic.com/2j0ms2b.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>

I dunno the guy said the offer stands till sat soooooooooo \-_-/ Cause my girl is flipping out saying she wont ride on it and what if it rains ext and i need a helmet blah blah blah. Its that time of the month she just dont want me to get into a money pit like i am with my rx7... 5 years and still havent got it running no longer then 1 month :( so idk what my 110 percent choice is! i am leaning to keeping the car cause once i fix it i know what is wrong with it or not what on this bike i have no idea what it has been through and plus i dont know how expensive these bikes are???!!

16K on an R6? That bike is all used up

+1 Especially if it was rode hard and the owner was rev happy.

No deal man, sport bikes don't make good DD's and require insane amounts of maintenance compared to a car. Save up and get one on the side, but keep the DSM.

If I was trading I would be talking about him giving some boot money as I said I bought my 02 for 4k with a tad less miles a year ago.

I would just make notes of what you have to have. If the car is a must for you at this point I would not do the trade. That is why I suggested you dont drive the bike until you make a decision if you would be up for a trade or not LOL..

Thats the parts killing me is the money and the DD!!! :? ahhhhhhhhhhh I hate this!!!! :( I would love a bike for the summer

If i was to ask for cash it would prob be about $1000 plus the bike it is possible to by a hoopty!!! !LOL jkjk

Sorry have to disagree I live in a warm weather put thousands of miles on my sport bikes per year and have almost zero maintenance costs. I had to change a petcock and I hade a side cover oil leak.. Grand total of a an hour and around $100.00. All of my friends ride an except a clutch or so they have had the same deal with theirs. They all ride Gixxers for the record...

I am to the point I dont like Gixxers they are fast and nice bikes but every one and their brother has one around TN. It gets old seeing the same white or blue Gixxer every 5 min, I do wish the other bike companies would make a bridge between the 600 and 1000cc bikes like Suzuki did with the 750's though.

16k on a bike...LOLOLOL id tell him to take a hike! that bike is all done bro, ###### beat to ishht too. theres a reason he wants your non running dsm. WALK AWAY BEFORE YOU END UP PUNCHIN URSELF IN THE FACE!!
