TurboXS H34 BOV whistling when boosting, is there a fix?

I read many searches on BOV flutter and surge, and I need to know if this is bad on anything and if there is a fix to this. It seems that if I boost slow up to 12 pounds, that a whistling sound will come from the intake just about thwe whole time until I blowoff. If I boost fast, it really doesn't seem to make any noise. The BOV had 5 washers in it, I have taken two out and it hasn't changed anything so I doubt removing all of them will do anything. Is it okay to keep running my BOV like this or is my turbo getting damaged and if so, is the only fix getting a new BOV?

sounds like your bov is leaking... do a boost leak test to know for sure.

Actually, I did a boost leak test this morning and the BOV was not leaking. I lubed the piston inside up with grease. Any other ideas?

could the whistling just be your turbo spooling?

you do know what that sounds like right?

Oh course. This noise is much higher pitched than the turbo.

turbos with broken fins have been known to make some funky sounds... pull your intake tube out and inspect your turbo...

yes. check the turbo for shaft play. the turbine wheel could be rubbing against the housing. Or the bov is not leaking when at low boost. My friends bov leaked and I put grease on it and it wont leak during a boost leak but will leak when driving it.
