Fist of all, i have a 95 eclipse with a 4G64 2.4L galant bottom end with 4G63 2.0l head. Im sure you guys are familiar with the swap. The motor was built with all stock mitsubishi parts. I have no mods except an airfilter. Yesterday i installed a turboxs dual stage boost controller. I wired the switch solenoid to a switch in my car and made sure that was working. First try, i used a tee off of the bov vacuum line and the otherside to the wastegate actuator. I followed the tuning instructions starting at 1 psi high and low on the turboxs. AND..... absolutley nothing. Still boosted to what it did before about 12psi. I tried switching the vacuum line and changing switches everything. That wasnt even the worst part cause i was guessing the controller was bad. So then i was told that if you take the line off of the WG that it should never open and it would boost to fuel cut. So i ran the car with no line on the WG(keep in ming i also have the stock Boost solenoid disconnected) STILL boosted at 12psi. No change. Second try, i used the nipple on the compressor side of the housing. STILL the same. Boost to 12psi no matter what i do even with nothing controlling the wastegate. Any anwsers?

Have you tried turning up the boost? Did it feel like it was pulling harder than 12lbs? Sounds almost identical to my problem. Now I don't feel quite so bad.

Well ive done some research and tried to figure this out but i havent got anywhere yet. I cannot turn the boost up nor can i turn it down. The car will always boost at 12psi no matter what i do. This includes running nothing to the WG i.e. nothing controlling it and it still opens. Any experienced mechanics opinion on here would be appreciated. Thanks
