Just got a stock 98 GSX.
I have a TurboXS Type H-RFL Blow-off Valve, Does any one have instructions for installing this on a 2g GSX.
Also have a manual boost controller I want to install, does anyone have instructions for this.

Yup,
I am having a hard time finding any of the info I am looking for on that site, but it is a big site too.

Both the BOV and MBC are pretty easy to install. For the BOV, just locate your stock BOV on the upper intercooler piping. Remove the two bolts holding the stock BOV to the piping, and attach the RFL. Attach the tube from the throttle body to the RFL and then plug the BOV return on the air intake.

As for the MBC, you have to find a good source to tap into and I use the hose running from the throttle body to the BOV. Split this hose and use a "T" fitting to reattach the ends of the hose. Then on the bottom of the "T" attach one of the hoses from your MBC. The other hose goes to the wastegate actuator.

Obviously, there are other ways to do this, but this is the way I prefer.

Hope this helps.
Steve

Thanks, the only thing is with the BOV I have it is made to vent inot the atmosphere, I am going to try to rig it to recirculate, When I figure out how to do this, I will post it so other people that have this problem can get it to work, Thanks all for your help, If anyone else has pictures with this setup they can posibly send I owuld greatly appreciate it.

I also have the rfl. I don't think you're gonna be able to recirc that one. The biggest prob you'll encounter is rough idling, you may may also experience fuel cut. However, I only had that happen maybe twice.

Fuel cut from a bov?

I only say that because when you vent, you miss a fairly significant amount of metered air that is needed to maintain a good idle. It is definitely noticeable when you don't have something like an SAFC to compensate that lost air by leaning the fuel out.

I have the same set up you mentioned. Stock upper intercooler piping, xs-rfl bov, and manual boost controller. Could you help me out with install please? Instructions tips pinters,etc...would be appreciated. Having a hard time figuring out how to install beacuse of the venting with this bov. Did you end up being able to recirc it?

You're not going to get fuel cut. The problem is when you blow off you'll run rich which has the possibility of stalling your car. Solution: maft in a blow-thru. However, that costs more money.

hey, before you spend the money on the extra adapters you need to hook up the RFL you should SERIOUSLY think about buying a bov that you can recirculate. I bought the rfl and the two pieces you need all from TurboXS and thought that my car could handle it, but it couldnt. Now I have a 2 week old RFL set-up sitting in my garage and a greddy type s on my car. honestly the car runs BETTER with the greddy installed, and NO CEL! :) -matt

When you buy the greddy type s does it come with the recirc kit?
