turbo troubles

So i installed the used 16g i bought but now the car is making a whining sound and wont hold boost... I think its a boost leak but i havent found one yet. Anyone know what this could be?

Check for boost leaks. The turbo could be bad. I would like to why so many people have issues after a simple turbo swap.

Check for shaft play or a bent shaft, but it's likely a boost leak near the compressor cover (j-pipe flange, perhaps) if you're hearing a supercharger-like noise under boost.

Yea, it sounds kind of similar to a supercharger. I'll check all around the jpipe and everything. I really hope this turbo isn't bad. I just bought it >.>
