Hi..

I've had my DSM for 5 years, and the previous owner had installed a turbo timer and boost gauge. Today, both stopped working. Everything else seems to be fine. Could there be something that may have been un-plugged or a fuse that they both share went bad? Any advice would be great.

The turbo timer is hard-wired into the ignition wires. If that fuse went, your car wouldn't be starting. Also, check to see if your boost gauge is mechanical because if so, it could just be a loose vac line.

If you have a mechanical boost guage, which most are, there should be a vacuum line running up to the back of the gauge.

From the back of the boost gauge, the vacuum line will usually run down the A-pillar, behind the dash, through a slit in the steering column boot, then up to a tee fitting in the vacuum line between the intake manifold and the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Check to see that this vacuum line is intact (no leaks) and that the tee isn't cracked and is tightly on the vacuum lines.

For the turbo timer, follow the wires that come from the timer to the harness. Check to make sure that the ends of the wires are all tightly attached to the wires going into the ECU (where some people tap in for timer installs) and that the ground wire is properly grounded, which may be a screw that goes into the frame.
