Turbo Spool and BOV are REAL loud on my stock GST

I have a 96 GST with just a Apex N1 exhaust. Lately, the turbo spool and BOV "whoosh" are rather loud. Both the spool and the whoosh are audible with the windows closed. When they're down, they're really loud. It's not as loud as a RFL, IMO it sounds like a really loud Type S, maybe closer to the RFL loudness. I'm confused. It definitely different used to be this loud. People are asking me what BOV I have installed. I have a Turbo XS H34 sittin on desk that will go in soon, maybe that will fix it? Or is it even a problem. I have been noticing less performance. Maybe a boost leak of some kind???

something to do with the intake tube that goes to the turbo from the filter. id hope that youre recirculating youre stock 2g bov. also things like a drop in K&N or filter will increase the sound of spool and bov.

I think you think I'm asking what will make it louder.

I'm saying it's much louder than it used to be and I'm trying to figure out why, maybe it has something to do with a slight loss in performance. The 2g is recirculating of course.

also just to add,

the idle is a little rough

sometimes it's as low as 500, sometimes up to 1k, and it's a bit rough at times

Do a boost leak test.

Check to see if all of your vent lines are connected to your intake tube.
VC to intake, Charcoal can to intake, and BCS to intake.

First thing I'd check is to see if the recirc. tube is still hooked up to the BOV and to the intake tube. Then I'd do a leak test.
