i figured out why my car would not rev up for the past 4 days and figured it out today that my shaft snapped where the blade inside the turbo is at. so is there a place to buy new shafts or do i have to buy a new turbo. my turbo is in very good condition besides the snaped shaft so i hate to buy a whole new turbo.

Might aswell get a new turbo or have it rebuilt. You can't just put a new blade, you have to have it balanced.

Are you still runnin the stock 14b? If so a 16g wil drop right in its place with no other mods needed so long as you run stock boost. But any other turbo is goin to need different parts to fit and supporting mods to work, so stick with 14b or 16g. If you don't feel like buying a new turbo, contact JusMX on here for a rebuild. He would most likely be able to rebuild your turbo for less than the cost of those eBay turbos and it would last much longer. eBay is typically a horrible place for turbos and turbo parts.

As long as the center bearing housing and wheel housing isn't damaged you could buy a new turbine wheel(hot side, has shaft attached) and a new compressor wheel (cold side). And if replacing them best to rebuild turbo while at it so a rebuild kit (think $55). The wheels are balanced at time of manufacture. So paying to have the assembly rebalanced for new turbine and compressor wheel is pointless to balance unless you have the extra money and a perfectionist. You can find compressor wheels for $40 and the turbine wheels for $70-$120. So for $200 or bit more hoping for the best you can have a rebuilt used turbo.

Best to decide if the money is better spent on rebuilding or just spending on a good used turbo. I've found good 14b turbos for $40-60 around here. And 16g's small of course for $100-250 that wheels are good but could use a rebuild.

If you are on the stock manifold than you can use a 13g, 14b, 16g, 18g, or 20g on that manifold. There are also aftermarket housings that allow you to bolt garrett, holset and others to the stock manifold.

Lets not confuse the fella now..LOL

jusmx may even have a few 14b's laying around that he can sell you that will deffinatly be legit and last longer and if he needs the parts he will buy that blown 14b off you or you just have him rebuild it like everyone else has already stated

I'd imagine his inbox is quite full. He is the go-to guy for turbo's around here as well as being a site moderator. The T28 is a drop in replacement for 2g DSM's, you would need to modify the oil and water systems in order to make it fit. So stick with Mitsubishi turbo's such as 13g, 14b, 16g, etc. I would suggest taking a look on Craigslist for any used 14b's or 16g's.

If the shaft snapped during operation, you need a new turbo. Doesn't matter if it has 10 miles on it or 100,000.

You can buy a CHRA and use your existing compressor cover, turbine housing, and wastegate actuator as long as neither wheel grooved the housings when the shaft broke.

yeah but where do i find one thats used. and jumx hasnt messaged me back. and some guy on here is trying to sell me a t28 turbo

He is a busy man..Ohh look he chimed in on your thread..I bet you have a messege..:thumb:
