Turbo Port and Polishing Question

quicker spool, more top end power, less chance of boost creep. nothing but good stuff to me.

what turbo we talking about here? cause if its the stock T25 then dont bother

Oh never mind. I do have stock turbo. Why should I bother with it tho?

Don't. You'll put all this work into a T25 and feel no gain just to have the turbo shit the bed on you in a short amount of time if there's any sort of mileage on it.

Port your o2 housing so when the T25 finally pukes you'll actually have a part that is ready to bolt on an upgraded turbo.

Well I was going to get this 70mm turbo, do you guys recommend it for my age and not a lot of money??
Ok so my car is mostly all stock with stock internals. I'm just going to get the 70mm turbo and OBD turbo manifold (I think that's ### its called),1000cc injector, big intake manifold. Should I just slap these on??

Now justin... He may not be trollin, he could just be ignorant.

No.... you don't just slap shit on and call it done. Thats why people think dsms are such shitty cars, lack knowledge. All the information is out there, if you have a specific question I would be glad to help, but I am not gonna spoon feed it to you.

If you don't got alotta money, OEM parts. 16g turbo, basic bolt-ons. Don't shoot for 500 whp. Shoot for 250. 250 is a realistic goal with just bolt-ons. Then get link or safc and learn to tune. Upgrade your fuel and push the 16g till you can't afford to go any higher. 16g is probably the best turbo for about 50-60% of dsmers.

Alright great.and yeah I was asking if I should slap it on or not cause I wanted to know what the consequences were for that. Is 70mm really big??and how much do they go for?

First off we need goals... whp, dd or what? Goals and then we can go from there and point you in the right direction of which turbo best support your needs.
Majority of dsm owners. Big 16g will do.
<------- wow... 1000 tech post on this post

Yeah I want it to be my DD. These are my goals. I just want my car to hit at least 20psi,and still be a great DD,and also to keep my car I'm great maintaining condition.

It really doesnt work like that.
Your T-25 with a boost controller can hit 20psi but would be way out of its efficiency range.

Lets face some facts right now. Sooner or later you will want more power so lets make this really simple up front and plan for the future at the same time.

Get a Fuel Pump (Walbro 255)
MHI Big 16g or a MHI Evo3 16g. (port it if it doesnt come ported)
Megan racing tubular o2 housing
3" exhaust
ebay intake pipe and air filter
Front mount intercooler and piping
1g blow off valve
850cc injectors
DSMlink

That should be good for about 330 HP and you can daily drive it for YEARS.

Yeah I like this idea :) i been wanting to ask also. If I dnt roll with a front mount on the 16g turbo what will happen?

Knock.

It can be done with the turbo at 14psi but not much more than that.
You might get away with 18-19psi with the supra side mount but front mounts are SOOOOO cheap, especially on eBay.
