polishing my turbo?

you usually start out with something like 60 or 80 grit to get the casting bumps out. then you work your way up with 120, 150, 180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000. you can even go higher with 1500 and 2000 and then actually polish it, or just polish it after even 400 or 600 though it will take longer. with the higher grits like 400 and above i usually wet sand.

For polishing metal, I'd usually knock the high spots down with 80-100 grit and then used a buffing wheel attachment on my drill and some polishing compound. It's dusty work, but it does the job a lot quicker than hand sandings with 5-10 different grits of sandpaper. :thumb:

I like it this way, lil more time consuming but i think it has a better appearance

thank you. the parts that take the most times are the lower grits when the large imperfections are being knocked down. you'll fine you don't need to wetsand that long on the 400 and above steps.
