Just got an eBay "16g" (I know they suck). I cannot figure out which way to put on the coolant line banjo bolts. On the turbo there are 2 different spots. If you have installed a CXracing 16g please help me out.

It doesn't matter for coolant. It can flow either direction. It simply is used to cool the system so it can go one way or the other. I had a 14B and swapped lines after I had to reroute something it flowed top down originally and then bottom up after the reroute. Makes no difference.

It's not like oil where there is a bearing to be fed or something...it just circulates the turbo with coolant...makes zero difference which way it flows.

Hook up the lines to whatever way is easiest to get the coolant lines hooked up to the engine.

Some may argue this but there are plenty of people that run no coolant lines at all, with zero issues.
See the problem, as i'm sure you're aware of, is people running it hot and shutting it off instantly. Causes the coking you read about in the chra. I never run the piss out of my car straight to the garage, it get's plenty of slow cruise time to drop those oil temps. No coolant necessary.
3,000 miles on a PTE 5558 and she has zero shaft play.(my old turbo that i need to sell, btw)
Having said that, running the coolant lines(if they have a provision for doing so) can never be a bad thing. The drawback i saw was yet another component to fail. That one would leave you stranded too.

So take what you want from that. The fella above answered correctly that it can flow any way, doesn't matter, and be effective.

Good luck with your install and have a great weekend bud
