So I finally got my dream car, a 99 GSX:D I have always had DSM's just the n/t versions:notgood: hahaha. Since day one I have lived by this forum and it has helped me tremendously. So let me start by saying THANKYOU DSMers. On to the point....

Ok, so I have already started reading up and studying what NOT to do, and I do plan on following the upgrade path like its the DSM bible. My only question is do most of you DSMers believe this is the best way for me to go?

I am shooting for a 280-300ish hp DD (while keeping it sleeper, hence the name).

You definitely want to stick to the upgrade path and and be sure to stay on top of vehicle maintenance. Ownership of a DSM is akin to a part-time job for me. I don't mind though. It's worth it every time I stomp the gas and hit full boost. Good luck and have fun with your car bro.

Alright!! Another DSMer in Louisiana! And its a white GSX! :thumb: to you. We both are after the same goals it looks like. You can't go wrong with the upgrade path at all. Make sure you do whatever maintenance first. I'm about done with mine.

Oh, and welcome to DSMTuners.com!

EDIT: More pictures please! :D

:dsm:

Okay well it looks like everyone agrees then, maintenance then upgrade path. Thank you!

GSXtreme how far are you from Lake Charles? And I will get some more pictures as soon as this gnarly weather is gone.

For the turbo, you might want to think about a T-28. It supports the power your seeking plus it bolts right on just like the stock one, so it looks all stock. I'm really thinking of getting rid of the 14b and getting a T-28 so I can be stealth mode. :shhh:

:dsm:

We didnt get much rain, mostly wind.
A t-28 you say. hmmm ((= We might end up with very similar GSX's.

Your probably going to think im lying when I tell you the price haha. I got from a lady who got it out of her divorce and she hated the car. I got it shipped to my front door on a truck for 4700 SHIPPING INCLUDED. It has 89k on it and the car is in PERFECT working condition. Not a scratch on it and never modded.:D

Looks like a nice stock clean car. You're gonna have fun modding that one. How much did you get it for?

ya i was also wonderin how much you got it for? mileage? i'd love to sell my modded 95 GST and getta bone stock 2gb GSX

89K miles for 4700!!!!WTFOMGWTFOMG you practically STOLE that car

:D:D:D(laughs histerically) I told the lady this car was worth much more, and I almost felt bad for it so i offered her more. She said no, it meant more to me than her.

And yes, I LOVE the 99 GSX interior. It's one of the many reason I prefered a 99 over the rest.

Not bad for an 18 year old kid with NO credit that had to take out a loan eh?:sneaky:

i'd love to see some pics of the car. once i fixup my GST id love to get somethin like what you have

Haha, yeah. I think a nice looking turbo might be the part that gives it away. As compared to a turbo that has oil and coolant spewed all over it with a rusty looking WG actuator

You sir just described my 14b. ROFL You left out the rusted up J-Pipe. LOL
