the time has come to upgrade my 14b for next year. ive had a small 16g and was very pleased with it but looking to get a bigger mitsu turbo this time. in your opinions would it be better to get a 18g or just get the BIG 16g this time? and setup ive got so far for supporting mods are:
full FMIC with hard piping
550cc injectors
walbro 255 fuel pump
apexi safc2
cyclone intake manifold
other than tht have tubular manifold and turbo back exhaust

lmk in opinions if i should need better supporting mods as well. i know the 18g has more lag than the 16g but i have gotten better throttle response and less lag with the cyclone intake manifold over my stock one. just lmk what you think

I'd have to say a B16g, Enough kick for showing off a little, and not too crazy for daily driving. That'd be my choice atleast.

Why not the Evo3 16g? It has great response and it's quick to full boost. Cheaper and has been proven to the 400hp mark.

Is your cyclone functional? Mine works and i have a big 16g and it spools as soon as i hit that gas pedal. Im so happy with my spool that im upgrading because i know it cant be much more lag with that intake. I think if you went to an 18g the lag difference would be so hard to notice. From what i know a big 16g and 18g are not much different in spool and over all performance. If money is an issue i would go with what you can get a better deal on.

with my last dsm i had the exact same setup and my cyclone with my smalll 16g spooled up real nice and hit good boost im just wanting something bigger and not really lookin for a hybrid im wanting to stay with a mitsu turbo and im thinkin a 20g will lag even with a aftermarket intake mani and im thinkin that a 18g will spool perfectly nice and put out great numbers for me

Sorry thats exactly what I meant, I don't know why I was thinking B16g, I was getting ready to go out for a bit and was in a hurry.

Yes though, you are completely correct,
Evo3 16G would be a fantastic pick.
