Turbo Automatic questions

Just wondering if anyone has done a turbo on a 2.0liter with an auto trans. If so hope you can let me in on any problems (if any) that may have come up with your experiance. Would it be worth the time and effort to do this. I've been looking into the Mitsubishi TE04H unless someone has any suggestions that would not break the bank. I'm not looking for huge gains but just a little more than what the stock 2.0liter puts out. If I can get it up to 200-250hp I'll be more than happy.

i have a automatic 98 GST, i upgraded my turbo to a Big T28 at like 90K miles and i am only running at 17 pounds of boost and right now, at 125K miles, the transmission is starting to slip...I am about to swap to a 5 speed, the price of swapping a 5 speed is around $2700....whereas a built automatic would be around $3800!! Hope this helps.

I had my trans built and installed for 3300

I got my numbers from IPT....$2775 for the tranny, $495 for the torque converter, and about $500 for installation...$3770

Don't forget another 1000 for an lsd... If I remember right it was a total of 4800 with shipping & corecharge from IPT

Thanks guys for the tips... Is is just a thought in my head right now. I'm more into looks than power anyways but I would like to have a little something under the hood just in case.
