turbo and supercharged

at work today this guy pulls up in a Hyundai i hear the distinked sound of a bov with a whistling sound curious i ask him what do have under the hood ,he opens the hood and there sits a 1.6 l with a t-3 turbo and a supercharger running 21 lbs of boost ,is this possible?

hat setup has be around for years. with detroit diesel engines in big trucks.
the super is for low RPM wher the turbo can make power and the turbo spool up for higher rpm.

Very possible. In fact there was a civic hatch at this years SCCA Solo II nationals running both a supercharger and turbocharger. Took 8th in class in Street Mod.

there is no kit you can buy. but you can make it with parts you find and put it all together at your own risk

HKS made a kit to twincharge factory supercharged MKI MR2s. Works pretty well.

It would be way to much fun to ride in a twincharged awd dsm!!!! that can spool that quick with out nos. or better yet that have 2 X gt30 and 1 X amg supercharger
