Supercharged noise coming from turbo!!! help!!

I have a 95 gst with a 14b and after like 300 miles on the 14b i punched it one day boosted fine after that everytime i spool i hear a weird supercharged noise coming from the turbo it anoying as hell. i checked for play and no play or bent or chipped fins the car still boosts fine though what could it be?? Its my daily driver so i dont want i to leave me stranded.

That noise is usually a fan hitting the shell, which is usually the shit hitting the fan. However, if you have no bearing issues, I wonder if it's a boost leak somewhere.

If the fan is hitting the shell, you should be able to feel and hear it when turning it by hand.

Next stop: intake boost leak test.

Do you mean the wheel hitting the housing? This has occured on my car as well, I believe it happened before putting on my 3" downpipe but I noticed it more often prior installation. I went almost WOT to merge on to traffic, couple minutes later I exit and then I get to a parking lot and I notice a whining noise in 1st gear (doesn't occur during idle at all), I park my car go into the store and buy some crap, come back and the noise is gone.

I'm trying to determine if it's turbo related or steering related cause I can hear the noise after pushing my car but it also sounds like the noise that the steering pump makes. I checked for shaft play, none...but as I said above it occurs in 1st gear and I noticed I usually notice it while I'm turning in 1st gear. Anyways I'm going to check my power steering fluid, I have a mbc going on soon so maybe that'll help determine what the problem is cause I know my boost is really high (one day it spiked to 20psi).

the problem with me is only when i spool.. hell i can even blow off the noise like a bov and it makes a bov sound too. it happens when the turbo is spooling i let go of the gas and it sounds like a hksssq.. can this still be the bearings?? i have no power loss at all.

I have a 97 gs-t, and i get the same whistling noise coming from my intake. it sounds like a high pitch whistle...i have the hks super mega flow intake. i recently removed the intake pipe that was inside the manifold(when i upgrade my blow off, the pipe is blocked up. once i removed this pipe, my airflow was increased so much, that this is where the noise is coming from. you might want to check that out. i haven't noticed any power loss, only power gain. peace.

hmmm. i too have a whistling noise. i thought it was maybe one of my speakers grounded out, but they are all fine. then last night i had the car up on jacks and looked at the exhaust, and there is a pin sized hole in one of the welds that spews black crap when its on. it whistles like a dam jet engine, and gets louder with rpm's. you can barely hear it with no music on, and with music on its too quiet to even hear. i like it, though im going to get it fixed. maybe you should check that out.

if you have a rechargable filter, have you cleaned that lately?
