I have a 96 talon tsi awd. I currently have 850cc injectors, walboro 255 fuel pump, aeromotive fpr, greddy front mount, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, dsmlink, turbo xs blow off valve, and currently replacing my act 2600. I have a fp big t-28 right now, and its maxing out at about 21-22 psi on pump gas. I put down 270 whp and 300 ft-lbs of torque on the dyno. I am wanting to get to about 350 whp on pump gas with the stock internals. I have been looking at the "sneaky pete" td05-20g, which flows up to 44 lbs/min. Will this turbo be enough to achieve 350+ whp? I am wanting to keep it internally wastegated, but will most likely go external.

if i were you i would just go with a hx35 price wise there not expensive and you will be able to achieve your goal with no problem

On my setup, what would the advantages of running the hx35 be over the td05 20g? From researching both turbos, it seems they both are capable of hitting my power goals on my setup.

I personally like the "sneaky Pete" or "Texas 16g". They dont look like anything more than a big 16g put pack a punch in the area of flow. I have nothing against the huge snail obvious as day flowzilla's. I think the sleeper look is whats up. A big old snail hanging off your exhaust mani could not be any more obvious. When you need to exceed 40-50 lbs/min get a big old glam turbo thats polished like a mirror and the inlet hole can devour a small dog. If it flows the same as the big ones why not get the stockish looking one. Just my two cents. Bigger does not always equal better.

It really depends on your goals, funds and if you are ultimately going for a "sleeper" turbo. They are definitely not cheap turbos and you may be able to run something else that will give you a lot more growing room for less or around the same price.

My goals are to have a fast spooling, 350 whp street monster. I am wanting to run it at the track and achieve low 12s, which at 6000+ feet elevation isnt the easiest. I am not wanting to spend too much, but i know that you have to pay to play. I have been looking at the bullseye V trim, which goes for about 600, and am thinking tial 38mm wastegate for a total of about $830. Or go with the td05-20g internally gated for about $875. Or possibly the SBR G50 for $660 and tial 38mm wastegate for about $890 total.

I wouldn't waste your time with the Vtrim. I would look into the hx35 and its different compressor and turbine options for which best suits your goals. Maybe also something like an FPGReen. Nothing wrong with the 20g and running the tdo6h turbine will get you closer to your goals on pump.
