Ok so i searched but nothing for wht i need to find out. I hav a 98 GS-T i know that tunning is the most important and most critical thing you can do to our dsms. Now i hav a bunch of bolts on but tunning will be the essential part in making my car faster. I have an Apexi N1 3" exhaust, Intake, BOV and short route FMIC. I hav the stock injectors but thinking to switch to 650 cc or 750 cc injectors. I am not looking for a "10s car" im only 17 so im looking for a car that i drive daily but can outrun mustangs camaros and firebirdsLOL.

Now for my question is tunning with the SAFC neo enough for my goals or should i shell out the 600 bucks for ECMlink V3?

My next question is when connecting the ecm link it askes if my ecu has an eprom ect i hav no idea weather my car has it and dont really want to go diggin, does my model hav it?

When i look at the ecmlink it asks wht injectors i hav do i hav to say my stock injectors or should i put 750s ### i will run my stock ones but i want to make sure that if i do upgrade eventually to bigger injectors i will be able to?

I know ppl are going to say i need a wideband but i am 17 and on a budget i have a narrowband but wont on the SAFC neo hav its own gauges so i wont need one?

I mean this is my daily driver and a little project on the side ive dont everything to her myself and im only 17 so i need some help in tunning because i hav absolutely nooo idea about it

I would not tune a car with only a narrow band. The narrow band sensors are very heat sensitive. After running a wideband on a car while logging the narrow band i have seen huge differences in narrowband output at the same afr. The best way to make your car faster would be to install a larger turbo, injectors, fuel pump, and tuning device all at once. Your car does not have an eprom ecu unless someone else installed it. Also, do a lot of research about tuning a car before you try. A bad tune can kill an engine on one wot pull.

Even with the NEO you will still need a wideband. If you're on a budget get an AEM UEGO; you can find them for about $200. Also, I'm pretty sure the only 2g that came with an EPROM ECU is the 95 so your car most likely will not have it. You should definitely fill out your profile too so everyone can see what mods you are running so as not to suggest something thats already there. I would then say that a boost gauge and boost controller would be your next friends to have. Hope that helps.

First of all, please search next time. This topic has been covered sooo many times. One example:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/hangout/330936-would-better-dsmlink-safc-logger-combo.html

Your car doesn't have an EPROM ECU.

If you want to use something bigger than 660cc injectors, and SAFC won't work.

You can't tune with a narrowband. If you want to do any fuel adjustments, you want a wideband. You can use DSMlink, but should not mess with fuel or timing settings until you get a wideband.

You can change the stock V3 settings to accommodate any injectors. Whatever you plan on initially running with V3 is what I would put down when ordering.

And lastly, please use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation in the future. That was really hard to read.

if you go with a big injectors setup....

Please elaborate on what you consider "Big Injector Setup" ;)

Even with the NEO you will still need a wideband...

Technically you dont, like i said before, its definetly recommended but NOT necessary, plenty of people (including myself) have tuned SAFC by just looking at a logger and checking the o2 reading for WOT pulls... I do it all the time when i tune peoples AFC/DSMlink that dont have wideband setups and ive yet to see much of a problem

i do believe the OP said he might go with 750s so that should cover the elaboration of the big injectors

This is HIGHLY subjective, thus the necessity of specifics. I run 1000cc units and consider them "average" these days.
