As im sure most of you know by now im very new to Tuning. I just bought a 98 GSX since my 96 GST got taken from me in an accident  Anyway im trying to forget about that and move on to the next adventure haha Well the 98 GSX came with the following mods: AEM Uego, Autometer Boost & Oil pressure gauges, Hallman Pro MBC, 14b turbo(12psi), Evo 3 Exhaust Mani, Evo 3 O2 housing, 3" DP, 3" catless to buschur bullet muffler, Big VRSF/SSAC FMIC (28.5x10x3.5), Intake with K&N filter, Stock Injectors and Fuel Pump. Im waiting on my Evo 3 16g to get fixed and ported out before I install the Evo IX FP and IX Injectors.
**Goal for this car is only 300-320 WHP**

So my question is would SAFC and Evoscan be a good way to go or should I just get a Tactrix 2.0 Cable and Tune with ECUFlash if possible? I do have people to help me but want to learn also just want to know which way is going to be the best in the long run?
Any advise is Great!

Thanks,
Josh

You ever thought about going with ECMLINK? I sometimes want to get rid of my AEM EMS, and get V3.

I know that would be the best option for sure from what ive heard but trying to price everything out and see what I could get for the money and be better off in the long run you know.

The cost of an SAFC used is almost equal to the OP 2.0 cable. You'll have lots more options with EcuFlash, but you may not need them.

I'd suggest EcuFlash. It's not the complicated to tune with if you are just doing basic fuel and timing tweaks. You also have the ability to turn of CELs and if you have something like a lower temperature thermostat you can also go into the ECU and change when your fans come on.

Well that for sure changes my mind on tuning with SAFC 2 but I guess I can play with it just to start tuning since im new to it and see how it all goes since most people say it is simple! It comes with the car and is already hooked up so it cant hurt while im saving up for a OP 2.0 Cable and my AFPR to go with the rest of the Evo stuff.... Thanks but please keep the ideas coming just remember I am only looking for low 300whp and to hit 12s at the track or 7s in the 1/8. I know in my Evo IX MR I ran 7.88 and 12.9x with Intake, Exhaust, MBC, and Cobb Tuner so I would be happy if I could keep up or beat that with the GSX
