I've looked through and through and could not find any threads on Basic tuning with DSMLink because I'm sure I'm not the only one out there (maybe I am:coy: ) that doesn't fully comprehend what to do or even where to start, settings and etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Read through there page's first to get an idea of what to do and what would be a good base. I would highly recommend getting it to a dyno and having a professional do it. It might be spendy but at least you know it's done right. That was you can feel safe knowing your getting the full potential out of your car.

You can even go a step further and download the actual instruction manual for DSMLink. It's on the "Downloads" section, under "Documentation", entitled "User's Guide." Download it and read it through completely and you'll understand it a little more.

As a side note, you can also download the actual DSMLink software, which, while you can't do anything with it without the chip and cable, it DOES include sample logs and runs, both dyno and track. You can take a look at examples of real-world samples before you get into it too far.

Ive Read through the users guide, read everything i can bout dsmlink but still cant quit figure out like what the settings sould be at and what not sorry for asking such a noobish question but damn i just am stupid when it comes to shit like this or sumthing idk??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!!?

The DSMLink forums will not let me register it says registration is closed by administrater or something like that? god I am so confused

Where did you buy your copy from? If it was used you will need the original owner to contact Tom or Dave and have it transferred to your name. They will register you on the DSMlink forums, they are the place to be asking questions like this. :thumb:

I know it sucks not to be able to use DSMLink. But, If I were you I would wait until you get your user name and password. If you are that confused, you will want Tom or Dave to give you an idea on your first log anyway.

PM me with your email and I will email you the files I tried to link you to so you can get a better idea.:thumb:

DSMtuners - How to street tune using DSMLINK

What size injectors do you have? I didn't see any in your vehicle profile. If you're running stock injectors, makesure the global fuel setting is 0 and the deadtime (in the same screen) is 0. That's it. If you can't understand the manual, then don't tune yet (fool with the fuel/timing sliders). Study alot more. Read upcoming posts on guys who are posting their logs and asking where to tweek their tune. Wait until you get your username and password for the DSMLink forums. This is the absolute best place to learn. You need to learn and then tune. Don't tune and then learn (by blowing your engine ;) ).

I'm not flaming you. Just giving you a little help to get the most from DSMLink.
