So, I am getting some HKS 264 cams installed.

I have tuned my car previously with EVOscan and ECUFlash without a problem. After I get the car back to tune it, is the process exactly the same as before? Just tune for AFR at idle, cruise, and WOT? Do I need to adjust ignition timing? I hadn't previously.
 
Since the 97'-99's have the cam sensor on the end of the intake cam, any changes to the position of the intake cam will effect ignition timing. Without cam gears though it shouldn't change anything, provided the cam manufacturers specs are within specified tolerance

Just something to keep in mind if you ever decide to get adjustable cam gears and change the timing of the cams

Fromall the reading i've done on the 2g, SUPPOSEDLY the way the sensors are locked in place, the ECU can sense and adjust for any changes in position of the sensor due to belt wear, tensioner movement andeverythign else like head abnd block deck/surface material removed and so on, i'mnot sure it wouldn't throw a code with adusted intake CAMtiming but for the mostpart it senses and adjusts to keep thge timing perfect through out the life of the car

if you a 6 bnolt swap you may have to adjust base timing, and because of the extra air taken in by bigger cams you may have to dial sometiming up or down in the tune depending on how the car reacts
 
Thanks for the correction Glen. I was not aware of that.

I have a 6 bolt swap and next year plan on getting the kiggly crank sensor. I also wanted to play with cam timing and I thought I read enough to figure I still needed the adjustable CAS. So, you think I can get away with the stock 97-99 cam sensor and kiggly crank sensor without throwing a code while tuning the cams? I could probably just check the base timing against what my logger says to see if it's adjusting itself correctly right?
