tuning problem

Ok i have a dsmchips eprom ecu to correct for my 680cc pte injectors and i have a MAFT but have it at 450cc injectors. Before i put the ecu and injectors in i was doing some logs and seem to have everything ok in terms of timing and 02 volts maybe a little rich. Now that i have my ecu in and have the factory boost guage set as a knock sensor it goes crazy when i open my wastegate since it is a dumped 02 housing. My question is: is the dumptube making the knock sensor "hear" knock and that is why my knock guage is skyrocketting and if so does is pull timing based on that. How can i fix it cause on my next upgrade i will be running an external wastegate but it will still be vented to atmosphere so im pretty sure it will be just as loud and make the knock register the same. Any feedback would be appreciated. thanks.

Damn, the curse of the phantom knock

Yeah, it is very possible that the 02 dump is causing enough vibration/sound to trigger the knock sensor, and in turn this would cut timing...

But, I wasn't clear if you actually did a log and saw timing being pulled, or you just think your getting knock...I would do a log and make sure

My dsmchips ecu puts a knock gauge as the factory boost guage so that is the knock gauge i am referring to. I havne't done a log since i installed the new ecu but i didn't really see any timing being pulled before with just the dump on there but i will go check it when i run to best buy in a few minutes.
