I had a boost leak performed and only two that I can recall weren't able to be repaired due to time. I believe I have a leak in my oil pump seal and both seals on the throttle body are leaking (which I have already ordered the seals and will replace next week). The only seal I can't replace is the oil pump seal. Anyway, can I still get the car tuned at the dyno with a leaky oil pump seal? I am running very rich and need to do something about it.

You should wait to fix the boost leaks, if you tune now your A/F ratio will be messed up after the leaks are fixed resulting in another session of tuning.

Eliminating boost leaks IS tuning.

How is an oil pump seal leaking boost?

Why not? Boost leaks happen in the intake tract and no where else (correct me I'm wrong). The intake tract has nothing to do with an oil seal. Do you have a logger? Some logs would help you figure out why you're running rich.

Wrong, leaks can happen at the manifold and wastegate. The system is pressurized at the exhaust housing which spins the intake and pressurizes that side. The whole system needs to remain pressurized all the way from the exhaust housing to the turbine wheel.

To the OP, fix your leaks first then get it tuned.

I should add that with your boost leak test you will only be testing the intake track. Obviously if it tests good and you still can not build boost you may have a leaking exhaust gasket and or cracked manifold, or something else of that sort.

good to know, I'll get that OP seal fixed asap and I think I might have an exhaust leak, there's a loud tick, tick sound at start up and as the engine heats up it quiets down and also quiets down a lot when driving. The dsm mech. said it could be a cracked manifold. I had my cylinder head ported&polished, can I still use a stock manifold??

It's called lifter tick. Welcome to the club. And I'm still confused as to how the oil pump seal can leak boost. If it leaks air how much oil can it hold??? Catch my drift?

I'm sure it's not lifter tick, my cylinder head is new (ported/polished), the cams are new (hks 264/272), and the internals of the head are new including the lifters and it started right after I got my car back from a shop that specialized in turbo cars but wrecks dsms. The tick is very loud and it's not rod knock cause I already had that.

So what do you mean about the oil pump? I may have misunderstood the dsm mech. He might've said he did a boost leak and found several leaks and then "also" noticed an oil pump leak. I probably screwed that up, sorry guys.

Maybe he meant the front cover/oil pump gasket was leaking oil. It's simply not a source for a boost leak.

There is an oil seal for the shaft that spins the oil pump. That shaft is spun by the timing belt. The gasket i was talking about seals the front case to the engine block. The oil pump is part of the front case.

If you are talking about the oil seal then you'd also have to take off the oil pump gear. Pry out the old seal. Put in the new seal. Installation is reverse removal. There may be a write up somewhere with pics.
