Im doing a rebuild right now and i am looking to spend around 2 grand
My car is a 1995 eagle talon tsi FWD
I need new axels for my car so thats 200 right there im planning on doing a stock rebuild for the bottom end and getting some aftermarket cams and springs. My question is Full dsm link with a new computer OR forged pistons and connecting rods?

If your car's engine is healthy, why touch it? Compression test it, check the end play in the crank and if both are good I'd go for tuning and bolt-ons following the upgrade path on here. Make sure your maintenance is up to date too. What are your power goals?

I pulled my engine but I think it was a fuel issue its almost completely broken down and I have seen no sighns of part failure. I'm not really one to follow the "don't fix it till its broken" I would rather rebuild it now while the snow is on the ground than in the summer when I could be driveing it.

*would 250 hp be to high of a goal?
I have a bosh 44 and a 20g and will be getting some Aftermarket cams is 272 to big?
