So I think durring my build I killed my front O2, but I get no Cel for it, that normal ?

And can I tune with my S-AFC II and pocket logger using my rear O2 untill I save the money for a dyno tune?

thanks for any advise :thumb:

Ps. the front O2 was stuck and now stripped and its $100 and order only so I'm not in a big hurry to replace it if I don't have to.

Isn't it kinda dangerous to just use the rear o2 for the front by just cutting the wires any old place? Don't you have to take note of the wire lengths so that you match it up with how long the factory wires to the front o2 are?

Are you sure he can do that? I thought the front and rear 02 sensors are different in terms of measuring voltage for the ecu?

They work the same..

Just solder and shrink tube the connection for insulation..

The normal voltage output difference between the two is only because one is before the cat and one is after... The cat changes the 02 content of the exhaust...

Without a cat they will read very close to the same if both 02s are in the same condition.. Like two new ones will be almost identical once both are up to normal O2 operating temperature...

So the CAT cause the difference.. Other than that they are exactly the same 4 wire sensor but with different length plugs..

You could get more accurate 02 signal... ONLY IF YOU DONT HAVE A CAT... By wiring the 2nd o2 in parallel with the primary 02.. For the electronically retarded... like jumper cables hook up = two batteries in parallel..

leave the 2nd o2's heater wires connected to the 2nd o2's heater.... then use the 2nd o2 eliminator circuit w/o the big resistor just the part of the wiring that makes a fake o2 signal for the 2nd o2...

Since the 02 puts out more of a waveform than anything else two wave forms in parallel feeding into the same ECU pin will have a smoother and less saw-toothed input...

It does work..
