Tuning Newb Question

I have eprom on ecu. Do I still have to have the chip installed on it to use dsmlink? Or is there a plug n play tuner out there? Thanks

Note : Yes, in order to use ECMlink, you must have your ECU socketed.

Depending on what your goals are and how much u have done so far a simple MAFT could do what u need instead of going all out on the start with DSMlink.
