just bought an 97 eclipse gst and inside the car down by pedals are 2 wires hangin its a red wire and a blackwire with a red stripe does anyone now where there suppose to be connected too. thanks for the help

yea its too dark out to take a pic but the wires are coming from the engine bay down to the pedals.

is there a piezzo siren under the hood? that could be it... Hook up 12v to the red and ground to the red/black and see if anything happens / blows up. then you might find out what it does ROFL

Really you cant see where the wire goes? Nothing factory runs through the steering boot/grommet. We cant have any idea what it is just random guesses.

Do your brake lights work? Is it a five speed? If so do you have to push the clutch in to start the car?

NO! Never hook up wires that you are unsure of to see if anything blows up. :nono::nono:
