Hey people whats going on? Well lemme first explain what i had, and what i have now. Currently i was running a 1g hacked mas/450cc's and the car was running fine pulled hard. But then i upgraded to a set of 650's FIC, 2g mas, and upgraded the cams to 272/272's. Now i have no afc, but i have an e-prom ecu chipped for the 650s and 2g mas compensation. Whenever i go WOT the car backfires and stutters anything past 12psi. Ive adjusted timing to 5degrees BTDC, checked the plugs there gapped .026. Anytime i give it alot of gas, theres a black cloud of smoke behind me indicating a rich condition. Now my question is...even tho the eprom chip is compensated for the 650/2g mas, would i still need an afc to take away more fuel? Im kind of stuck here...any help would be appreciated.

E-mail Jeff and have him burn you a chip with an 11:1 A/F ratio and your issues will disappear. The chip he sends out has a 9.5:1 A/F ratio, which is the same rich setup as the stock ECU. While you're at it, have him add a couple degrees of timing up top and you won't need to worry about an AFC.

Works for me and it'll do wonders for you,

Andy
