i have a 2gnt 420a with aftermarket turbo kit. i am currently in the middle of rebuilding my motor so i can run higher boost. ive ordered everything from performance cams, cam gears, pistons, rods, motor mounts, bov, short shifter, head gasket, ARP head studs, valves, springs, clutchmasters stage 4, posi differential, new syncros, msd ignition system, 36 lb/hr fuel injectors, self ported my head, 60 mm tb and a new intake manifold. my turbo kit came with a fuel pressure regulator but i want to actually know whats going on with my engine. i have searched for fuel controllers but havent nessecarily found what im looking for. portfueler: too freakin expensive and only has minimal tuning. i feel its a rip off. safc2- neo: they just dont work well for our cars and are only able to take away fuel. megasquirt: too complicated and time consuming for me. I want something that will do more than just that. DSM Link: i wish. this would be ideal but it doesnt work on my car for 2 reasons. and lastly, the Greddy e-manage ultimate: this sounds the most appealing to me and isnt TOO expensive. i really cant afford anything more than that right now. i am just curious, does anybody know if the emanage ultimate will work on a factory non turbo 420a?
I plan on reaching 25-28 psi one day and i want to buy a system that will at least allow me to safely push around 20 psi now, and not have to be totally discontinued (no longer able to help me tune) when i find a way to go higher.
I have searched. I really want to be able to tune my car good especially with all the mods i am about to put into it. tuning it right will gain almost as much hp as anything. any suggestions welcome. i need to figure out something asap so i can get it shipping to my house so i can have my car up and running again
 
or where i can buy an already put together megasquirt system that has everything i need included for complete installation and functionability? i don't have time to research and build one myself. oh and could the megasquirt supply fuel for up to 28psi boost?

Megasquirt is great for the 420a. I ran it fo awhile and loved it. The msns will have no problem controlling your fuel but... Your 36 lb injectors wount support more then about 12 or 14 psi. You need to go much bigger for 28 psi. Also there is a 420a fourm for this but I will help you out untill a mod moves this to the right place. PM me and I will give you info for a good msns builder on the forums. :thumb:

um I think if you are saying "oh and could the megasquirt supply fuel for up to 28psi boost?" then you better research anything you do. Megasquirt is a engine mangament. Injectors supply your fuel. The megasquirt will tell the inejctors how much to send.

Also I hope you have a built motor otherwise you will learn the expensive way that a 420a doesn't really like much over 15psi.

You can however buy a pre assembled m.s. from www.diyautotune.com You will need to make a harness and wire it into the car though.

actually the 420a motor doesnt even like 10 psi of boost in my case. and if you would have read above you would know that i am in the proccess of rebuilding my motor. and actually i did spend some time reading up on the megasquirt at megamanual.com but nowhere did i read how much boost it will supply for. you could read that website for days and technically i would rather get something else. im too busy and need my car up and running as soon as possible since it is my only form of transportation

um ok? i had touble with my 26lb/hr injectors running ten psi of boost because it was too rich all the time and even when i turned my fuel regulator down, i still lost about 150+ miles i could get off one tank of gas from stock injectors. how much more gas mileage do i have to lose? changing from 26 to 36lb/hr injectors is even more significant of a jump than from stock 18 to accel 26lb/hr.
 
100psi is way to much. With proper controll of tuning (anything you pick) you should actually gain a few mpg because you can run it a little leaner than stock. Problem is that you have to keep your foot out of the gas pedal to really get good mpg. I know its very hard :)
