hi i have a 2nd gen eclipse with hks 272 cams intake i belive there is an upgraded turbo on it and a 3" exhaust. i dont have a tune and i know that it will run really rich but i need to know and want to know your opinion on driving it without a tune as a work car no beating on it.

:another thing is that it blows white smoke but not as bad ass a blown head gasket, so i dont believe it is that i think that the turbo seals have gone bad and oil is just buring into the exhaust. any comments or opinioins please feel free to pm me or leave i post i need to know thank you

I'd start by taking the intake pipe off and checking for play on the turbo. Additionally, what injectors are you running?

If it smells sweet it could be a head issue. Take off your oil cap and see if you see any white lotion looking stuff on the inside of your cap. Are you losing coolant or oil?

You dont need a tune if you're going to baby the car provided you're not running extremely lean

well the turbo has a little play but not anything extreme. and the exhaust doesnt really smell "sweet" but is holding collant and i dont believe that is the problem but other than that it should be fine to drive with the cams and no tune?
