2G Tsi awd auto no power off the line

New to the whole dsm scene. Picked up a 95 talon tsi awd auto about a week ago and can't figure out why its so doggy off the line. I can give it full throttle and it seems like it literally has no power until the boost hits. The problem only occurs when I take off from a stand still, car downshift fine and has all its power except from a stand still. Need some opinions on what I should do.

Sounds to me like you can't get up onto your converter, what does your mod list look like since you haven't made a DSM profile?

It's an auto. They are that way. My 1gb auto is that way. Bigger turbo, cams, fuel upgrade will get rid of the "doggy" from a dead stop .

No mods atm. Everything is stock. Just feels alot slower than it should.

Tried power brake and it makes no difference

Awd auto is a dog unless you brake boost... 7-10psi off the line helps greatly

You can't brake boost an auto unless you have the 5speed ecu. Otherwise it's gonna retard timing and make your car launch like grandma getting off the couch.

Same thing happens with my 95 auto. So brake boosting won't help unless I have dsmlink or stand alone or a 5 speed ecu?

2gs use the same ecu for either trans. Awd auto is slower off the line than fwd auto in stock form. However overall a 20 yr old stock dsm will probably always feel sluggish. Ive noticed on most auto dsms deleting or even replacing the cat seems to be quite beneficial with throttle response. My awd was feeling sluggish due to the fact my valve stem seals were shot for years and I was missing two manifold studs creating a decent leak.
