Why is it sad? There's nothing special about titanium exhausts, except the price.
Due to the cost of manufacturing and lack of demand, nobody is manufacturing these for our 20 year old cars. Other than slight weight savings and corrosion resistance, there's not too many benefits that we would notice with one on a DSM. And the fact that they cost half of your car's blue book, makes it even less practical for them to manufacture and us to purchase.Im looking for a True Titanium exhaust for my AWD 1G. The use of different metals in the exhaust system will result in different power bands. The harmonic frequency will effect how the exhaust gases flow.
If you're that concerned about weight [savings], don't use any exhaust.
Not on a turbocharged engine.
You should hear my car!
If you go to MOD 07 I will
I dont care with weight savings. im not in any highly completive class where im looking for that 2 extra HP.
and as far as 4cly turbos sounding lame or other, the Lancia's and Fiat's where running blown and turbocharged 4cly and sounded very much like the Porsche's. All of which sound very good. I have yet to hear any 4 or 6 over here that sounded that good.
Apparently you've been deprived of hearing an Italian exotic with a set, or perhaps a Porsche or Skyline with those pipes. More then just a Price.
