I know that the release fork goes back and forward as you press and depress the clutch pedal
but, I don't think it's supposed to wobble after it is depressed I attached the bearing to the fork to see if there was a problem with the travel, it is smooth but sometimes it sticks. do I need to buy a new fork and fulcrum ball

The throw out bearing should run smoothly on the casing surrounding the input shaft. If it does not, take the fork and TOB off and try to locate the imperfection (where it gets stuck) in the shaft with your fingers. Once you locate where it sticks, use fine grit sand paper (400, 600, or 1000) and smooth out the area until the TOB slides smoothly.
If it sticks at the very end of being depressed (top of the input shaft), then technically you shouldn't have anything to worry about because it should never travel that much. But if it does worry you and you haven't already, look into replacing the fork and fulcrum ball. They are usually the cause of this.

well, then it looks like I'll have to replace the fork and fulcrum because when I move the fork in and out it throws the bearing all the way off the edge of the solid part of the shaft onto the splines of the shaft but, sometimes when it does it's fine but, sticks other times. I have a centerforce tob not the stock tob btw and I'll do what you sugguested and see if there are any inperfections thanks:)

Here is one thing to keep in mind. Throw out bearings with a metal inner race will cause sticking and eventually cause you to have problems. That is why an oem mitsubishi throw out
bearing is suggested over anything else. Check the condition of you fulcrum ball and clutch fork and see if they are worn down. But, make sure you get a mitsubishi TOB.

You are looking at this with the transmission out, right? Once the clutch and transmission are installed, the travel will shorten.
