When installing these gauges: Oil pressure, Water Temp, volts where do i hook these up in the engine Bay?
Its on a non turbo 1995 Eclipse.
I'm going to install them in the center concel under my cd player. Thanks.

The oil pressure gauge hooks up underneath the oil filter. It will replace the stock unit.

i am going to have to go to jeff city and through you a beat down for that answer.OMG this is for a 95 nt. the only thing under the oil filter is air and maybe a undercarage guard.

for the oil pressure and water temp(pointless you have a water temp gauge in your cluster allready, the one to your left:thumb: ) you will have to make a home despot tee. i think they are both 3/8 npt. not sure though. the oil sender is on the back of the block and the water temp sensor is on the thermostat housing. i have never hooked up a volt gauge but i would assume that it goes to the pos. and neg. of the battery.

What does this mean? (you will have to make a home despot tee.) And could you send a picture or be a little more specific on where the oil sender is on the back of the block is?
Thanks.

use those for a GUIDE.by tee he means that you will have to get extra fittings to mate your sending unit + gauge fitting to connect to the block. It's called a T because thats what it looks like. picture this

(sending unit) T (fitting to gauge)
to
engine block
the volt gauge is pretty easy i posted which wires before i don't recall right now,but if you search im sure you can find it.

sorry :) i was giving the poster (my nephew) some flak.

:p
its all good.

the tee is made of plumping parts from home despot. look at gsgoingfast's turbo system write up and you will see a pic or one that he made for his setup. yours will not use as many pieces cause you don't need a oil source for a turbo.

When I am putting the tee in the block on both water temp and oil pressure should i use teflon tape on the treads or will the block get too hot and just melt it? I want to make sure this new tee doesnt leak.
Thanks

tape or paste. just be sure to keep ot on the threads

Water Gauge - as mentioned, drill and tap a hole into the thermostat housing. Make sure that you've got the right bit sizes and know what you're getting into. Then simply run a wire from the sending unit back to the gauge(assuming its electric). I used locktite on the sending unit and it has never leaked. Others recommend RTV or teflon.

Volt Gauge - you can pretty much tap into anything that has 12V's and any ground to get a reading. Some people have different opinions on where to tap for a better reading. I would avoid running directly to the battery as this looks like crap.

Oil Gauge - not a clue.

you don't have to tap the thermostat housing. just make a tee where the stock gauge sensoe is. no since in taping. if you are going to drill and tap fot water might as well drill and tap the block for oil to. thats to much work for me.

Some gauge manufacturers say not to put teflon on the threads as it can disrupt the signal,(electrical gauges only ?) I however never was able make it not leak without teflon. My .02

I'm not familiar with the 420a, but on the 4g63 the factory sending unit is electric and there is no where to put a T if you are using an electric gauge.

The Gauges im using are mechanical. I have found the tstat housing sending unit for my water temp but i have no clue were to install the oil gauge. Can anyone help? the Oil guage is my problem.
Thanks
95 eclipse 420A engine, non turbo

is there a way to not have to tap a hole in the thermostat housing. on a 99 eclipse gst?
