today I ran in to a problem with my 98 gst. I was launching my dsm and as I did so, around 3rd gear the battery light came on and the power steering shut off. when I got home I checked to see if it had power steering, which it did. I then noticed that the DSM was idling around 1500. as I adjusted the idler back to normal the idle gauge (factory) stopped working. I turned it off disconnected the POS terminal and waited 5 min. then went and started it again. the battery light was still on and no power steering. the idle gauge still inactive. I turned it off and attempted to start it again, but all I got was rapid clicking from the starter.
I have no idea what could be wrong with it, but my car was prone to idle surge before. and as this incident happened it seemed to cure the idle surge but cause other problems. please somebody give me guidence, if I can't figure out what's wrong then I'm gonna have to go back to 12 second ecu free plymouths

Harmonic dampener separated. It's the pulley on your crank. Chances are that the rubber deteriorated and the inside of the pulley now slips without spinning the outside at full speed.

Also, your battery went dead from the alternator not putting out enough voltage. When the battery is dead, sometimes the relay will just sit and click on and off. Charge the battery.
