Treo 90 Pocketlogger not working, anyone using it? Help!

Ok so I bought a Treo 90, got a logging cable from DSMparts and am trying to run MMCD and Palmstein logging software. I hooked up the logging cable, used a serial sync cable I bought from Ebay to connect my pda to it, ran the software and don't get shit. Tried doing the "Test" option in MMCD, and it says the serial port is open?? Same with palmstein when I try logging. So WTF is going on, why can't I log anything?? I'm pissed because I have a crapload of parts that I want to put on that I need to be able to log to tune. Help!

Edit: The serial sync cable works fine, just tested it 10 secs ago with my computer.

When I hook up the cable and everything to my car, my ABS light comes on... So it's registering it at the diagnostics port. But I still can't get any data through to my palm.

Are you sure the Treo90 is compatible with the software you are using? I seem to remember reading that Treo, Handspring and a couple others had compatibility issues.

I bought that cable from DSMparts, it didn't work when I recieved it so I called them and they sent me another one. Same thing happened, it didn't work. I bought the Digital Tuning cable and it has worked from the start flawlessly.

According to the mmcd software website, there's a listing under one of the updates saying that on handsprings you need to set the "HsKeyboardEnable(false)". Ummm wtf is that? hah. I would imagine it turns off the built in keyboard on the treo, but I don't know for sure, and I have no idea where to enter this command.

I don't think it's the cable... It's gotta be the software on the Treo, but I can't find any specific configuration instructions for it?

What Palm os version (be specific like v. 4.1H3) ?

What MMCD version (v1.5b)?

What cable pda or laptop?

What kind of gender changers are you using (null modem?)?

Latest upgrade for v4.1, I don't know the exact designation... MMCd v1.5b, DSMParts datalogging cable, no gender changer as the end of the plug is male, and the end of my serial sync cable is female.

I talked to a guy that works for the co that makes the cables for DSMparts, he said that the cable they sell on the site only works for Palm Co pda's, not Sony (which they did say on their site), or Handsprings (which at the time they did not have listed as incompatible). Supposedly, the Clie's and Handsprings need to have 12v power to have the serial ports open for data transfer. So, I returned my dsmparts one and ordered one from this guy. Hopefully it works, heh.

It's weird though, because the one I had recieved originally with the package from the guy I bought it from was just 3 cables for data and both ground pins, no power connector. He said it worked fine for him... So either I'm just doing something stupid, or he was lying.
