transmisson questions

ok guys a just had my 5 speed 91 awd trans rebuilt and now I put it in the car it shifts in every gear but first? I took the linkage off and still doesn't seem like it wants to go into 1st. any help would be appreciated.

take it back to whomever rebuilt it, they had to mess something up in the transmission.

Won't shift into first at all? Or it's tough to get into first?

It will not go in at all but every other gear it will. But my shifter is way different than before 3/4 gear is a little to the right of where it should be. Also I have to strong arm it into 5th and reverse also second? If you have any ideas let me know please.

take it back to whoever rebuild it for you, something inside is loose or broken, you should be able to shift through all the gears with little effort

Take the cables off and shift it by hand at the transmission. If it goes you have a problem with the shifter cables and likely the clutch as well. I suspect clutch as you're having to strong arm a gear.

Tell us what else what changed besides the transmission.

Nothing else that I changed would effect the transmission. I might not have blead the clutch all the way. I will definitely check that out and go from there. Is there a post about shift linkage?

Now to think of it I did take the shift linkage off and it went to all gears fine so I most likely have to adjust that. I am just not to sure how to correctly

Have you adjusted the clutch master rod?

Problem fixed they rebuilt it again on there own dime works fine.

Yeah it sucks but it was fun driving it the Hole two days till it jumped timing.
