1G Transmission Spring Pin

The manual says i need tool MD998019, which i do not have. Is there any way to remove that pin without a fancy mitsu tool?

I've always just used a punch. You'll want to use new roll pins when you reassemble, reusing them can lead to them backing out.

If you can push the pin through without hitting the gears then a punch should work.
If you can't you can try using a slide hammer to pull it out.

Use a 5/16" roll pin punch to start it from the inside, going outwards with the transmission shifted into reverse to give some additional clearance. Then use a vise grips and work the roll pin out. Easy.
