Transmission Smell and Smoke

Both my wife’s 2g auto and my 1g auto smell like something is burning every time we get home from work. In the garage with the light on you can see a light haze in the air coming from the cars. I think it is from the transmission because none of the manual transmission dsms that I have owned have done it and it’s a weird smell that I’ve only smelt from her 2g auto and my 1g auto.

I’ve replaced the filter and fluid in my 1g, but not in the 2g yet. The fluids in both look pink and not discolored. Is this a common thing to happen on autos?

It's definitely not common. I never experienced anything like that in 6 years with my old 2g auto awd. Maybe check the wiring, check for fluid leaks etc

I didn't notice anything wrong with the wires physically on the 1g, but I haven't looked at the wiring on the the 2g. Neither of them are leaking transmission fluid though. I'm wondering if something is burnt up in the transmissions. They both shift well, but not perfect. They have 14x,xxx miles on both of them.
