transmission not sitting right

ok i looked all over this site and never could solve this problem. i installed my clutch correctly when i put it all together there is a little bit of noise then when i drive it and it warms up it then turns into clicking from the tranny. i pull it in the garage while its still running with the terrible clicking noise and i loosen the top tranny bolt and the clicking starts to go away.....what is going on here i torque them to about 35lbs and its when im loosening the top 2 bolts it goes away. now the bolt by the axle goes in and screws in but never seems to get tight it just keeps on turning! i cant seem to get this right because the more i loosen stuff thats when the clutch starts catching rought and stuff like that. wow i didnt know i typed that much but i just wanted to be detailed...anyone please help me

is it a ticking when you let off the gas after accelorating?

no its a ticking when i let the clutch up.

Goes away when push clutch pedal down? Sounds like T.O. bearing - did you replace it?
Or the PP fingers are hitting the flywheel if clutch is not adjusted right or you used an extended slave cyl rod. Did you shim the pivot ball correctly?

Have you made absolutely sure that the transmission is mated up to the block completely flush and that you have both dowl pins in the block and lined up???

you guys have very good questions thanks for the responses. first of all how do i shim the pivot ball? and does anyone have a picture of the dowel pins in the block?!? and yes i did replace the tob.

first of all how do i shim the pivot ball

take the tranny out, undo the fork pivot ball and place a thin washer under the ball. This brings the ball forward to the clutch a bit if the fork is slightly worn..

or, get a new fork and ball.

ok thanks. now about the dowel pins. if its a little metal sleeve im pretty sure there was a broken one laying on my garage floor after i removed the tranny....but i know nothing about dowel pins and would like to know how they go in and what the look like.

the dowel pins are horizontally adjacent in the middle of the trans when trans is installed right
they look like inch long smooth round chunks of metal

Maybe but unlikely. The pins line up the case so the mounting bolts are lined up with their holes. So if all the mounting bolts are in and tight, it should be lined up. However as I recall the bottom bolt that goes backward has a pin (sleeve) that goes around it to keep the bolt centered in its hole. This might cause it to not be exactly centered but I would think all the other ones being in place would correct that.
