Transmission noises

Just recently my transmission has began whirring and making high pitched noises while cold and after it reaches operating temperature it makes a griding noise the whole time... Any idea what the heck is wrong with my car now?

By the way.. it's a 1993 Hyundai Elantra with a 4G63t and an auto to 5spd swap.

Sorry to state the obvious but, have you checked the fluid level?

Could be the throw out bearing. Funny thing is Ive heard old worn out ones, and brand new ones chatter.

I just recently added gear oil to it...

The transmission did not make this sound while it was in the donor car. I drove it RIGHT before I pulled the motor.. tranny shifted great and made no noises!
