1G Transmission Mount Bolts

I just got a new tranny for my car. Upon installing it I realized I lost the bolts to the tranny mount...the two bolts that go thru the mount into the actual tranny itself. I need to know what size and thread pitch they are soo I can get new ones. btw, this is for a 92 talon n/t 5speed, but the turbo mount should be the same. Thanks in adance...

Go to the junkyard and just pull them off of one, this way there is no guess work and they are pretty much free.

Unfortunatly, most of the dsms around here have the engine and tranny yanked out before they actually hit the yard, soo the bolts are long gone by then.....anyone else??

That sucks around here usually the N/T motors are still there. If we didnt have 2 feet of snow on my car I would go pull one and measure it.

Well...I went to the hardware store and bought some bolts....it appears to be M12 x 1.25. As far as length, Im not quite sure. I'll be cutting and grinding these down to size to fit, probably 25mm. Hopefully this thread will help someone else out as well...

I didn't want to start a new thread, but this goes kind of hand in hand with the OP.

The bolts that are accessed through the passenger side wheel well, covered with rubber plugs. These bolts if your not careful can drop into the frame rail. Well yes, i dropped one of the bolts into the frame and I tried feeling around in the frame holes with no luck.

I'm wondering if anyone has cut a hole in the frame to retrive these bolts or has had any luck with a flexible magnet.

I really want to get these ****ers out because I'm sure our picky knock sensor will read it as PK.

Don't know if that was intended for the OP or not. But I managed to go through the frame access holes and use a long flexible magnet sold at ACE hardware. I snaked out both the bolts so i think I've finally cured my PK issues.

The cited thread was written 2 years after the OP asked his question. It didn't exist at his time of search.

Nonetheless, M12x1.25 are most definitely the bolts that mount through the transaxle mount into the trans. casing.
