ok so just did a bunch of repairs to my 2g gs with a 420A and a nvt 350 tranny, well some of those repairs were a new clutch and new driver cv axle, well my new problem started yesterday, after drive in a forward gear after about 5 to 20 yards the transmission locks up? i guess?......and the front wheel stops moving and the car skids to a stop, once it stops you cant get it to go forward again....like if there was a chalk in front of the wheels, but you can reverse all day long and once you back the car up you can get it to go forward again.....that is until it stops again.......
anyways i hope this makes sense i have nooooo idea what this could be so any and all help is great

thanks guys hope y'all can help me out

Who put the tranny in? Check your clutch cables adjustment. Did you put in new throw out bearing? Is the axle fully seated into the tranny?

Try jacking both front wheels up when it does this and see if you can turn them by hand. If you can then the problem is inside the transmission. If you can't then the issue is somewhere in the axles, brakes, or spider gears in the diff.

Also when it skids to a stop does the engine stay running or does it die?
